Web 2.0

Assignments

There are four types of assignments in this course. The first comprises homework questions that you'll answer each week. These are posted in ETUDES, and also linked from this central homework listing page. The second are reading from a number of books, whitepapers, and or websites. The third is a Web 2.0 project. The fourth is a colaboration exercise, which may include your work with other students. The final exercise is a refelctive writing assignment, in which you'll reflect on what you have learned in this course.

Weekly Homework:

Weekly questions on various topics. You'll post your answers to these questions in the ETUDES website.

Reading:

Reading books, white papers, or selected articles from Web resources. Come to 'class' prepared to ask and answer questions, and engage in a dialogue in ETUDES forums.

Web 2.0 Projects

Building a real Web 2.0 portal, or adding Web 2.0 functionality to an existing website, such as a blog, wiki, discussion forums, tagging facility, etc.

Collaboration:

Collaboration with your peers in group activities / projects is both an assignment and skill set to master.

Reflection:

A final writing assignment includes reflecting on what you have learned and how you'll practice new skills.
